How to process a transaction using the Virtual Terminal:


Instructions on how to process a transaction using the Virtual Terminal depends on which version of the Virtual Terminal you are using.

For Virtual Terminal version 1:


1.  Log in to your PlugnPay Administration Area (https://pay1.plugnpay.com/login).


2. Click on the 'Virtual Terminal' link under the 'Administration' section.


3.  Upon loading the Virtual Terminal the top section is 'Select Payment Type' If this is not set to 'Charge' by default            select the radio button for 'Charge'


4.  The next section is 'Address Information' This section is not required to fill out but it is recommended if you have          access to this information.


5.  The next section is 'Payment Information' The required fields in this section are: 

  •     Credit Card Number 
  •     Expiration Date 
  •     Amount

'CVV' is optional but highly recommended. 


The 'Type' field will be set to 'Authorize'


'OrderID' is the unique, numerical transaction identifier. 

If left blank we will automatically generate and store an orderID for that transaction (recommended).


Both 'Account Code' fields are used for storing any additional data with the transaction such as an Invoice Number.


6. The last section is 'Settings' 


    This section houses settings for transaction processing such as automatically marking an authorization for                     settlement, fraud screening settings, and receipt options.


7. Click on the 'Submit Payment' button to process the authorization.




For Virtual Terminal Version 2:


1.  Log in to your PlugnPay Administration Area (https://pay1.plugnpay.com/login).


2.  Click on the 'Virtual Terminal' link under the 'Administration' section.


3.  The top section 'Select Payment Type' will default to 'Credit/Debit/Giftcard' 


     If your account is set up to process ACH payments you will be able to switch to 'Check/ACH' here.


4.  The next section is 'Payment Information' 


     This section is where you will enter in the customer's credit card/ACH information. 


     Required fields will be marked with a '*' asterisk. 


     The 'Post Auth' checkbox option will automatically mark the authorization for settlement if successful.


     'OrderID' is the unique, numerical transaction identifier. If left blank we will automatically generate and store an              orderID for that transaction (recommended).


     Both 'Account Code' fields are used for storing any additional data with the transaction such as an Invoice Number.


5.  The next section is 'Billing Information' 


     This section is where you will enter the customer's Billing Address and contact information.


6.  The next section is 'Shipping Information' 


     This section is where you will enter the customer's Shipping Address if applicable.


7. The last section is 'Virtual Terminal Settings' 


    This section houses settings regarding fraud screening options, receipt options, and sending customer email                 confirmation options.


8. Click on the 'Submit' button at the bottom to process the authorization.
